my name is chriselda. i'm a portrait and wedding photographer in Texas and absolutely LOVE my job as your photographer. There is nothing that i love more than getting to know my clients on a personal level and helping them create images that are unique to them. i truly adore each and every person that sits before me and trusts me with their smile, personality and heart.
A couple of weeks ago, i made my way down to Dallas, TX for engagement photos for Clay and Amanda. We had a great time running around downtown and around Las Colinas. It was the perfect day for photos!
i ::adore:: this photo.
i believe this is my favorite. but i’m still a bit undecided!!well… yeah. this one is my favorite. can a girl have more than one favorite?Clay and Amanda: thanks for having me out for the day! i had a great time with both of you and can’t wait to photograph your wedding!
i really like my job. ok, fine, i LOVE it. but when you have a family session that goes the way this one did, there’s no question as to why i love it.courtney showed up with this HUGE picture frame. i love this!!! this perfectly fits the boys! any person with boys knows that this is what you will MOST likely get if you ask them to cooperate for family photos!courtney, i never ever EVER say this about kids. but um… yeah… you have a little heartbreaker on your hands here.
afterward, the boys played football together. these are both my favorites!and the parental units. gorgeous.courtney! i am soo soooooo glad that we were able to squeeze this session in! thanks for coming out for the morning! your have a STUNNINGLY gorgeous family!
Jake and Desiree just welcomed their precious baby boy into the world. when i photographed their wedding last year, i knew they were planning on having a baby soon. so it was no surprise when i ran into desiree soon after and she pooched her belly out and said “do i look pregnant?”
side note: six of my brides from last year have either already had babies, or are currently “with child.” Maybe it has something to do with me? noooo surely not!!!
Back to the session. when i got to their house, i scooped him up and held him for.ev.er. he is soooooo precious! he smelled good and everything. Jake and Desiree are such amazing parents too!
Tagg is COMPLETELY smitten with his mommy. he looks at her all the time.if you don’t oooooh or aaaahhhhh when you see this… i dunno what to tell you other than “you wouldn’t know a cute baby even if i hit you in the head with one!”look people: i never claimed to be a baby whisperer!i had to leave one in color so you can see his baby blues!!! ain’t he a cutie?!?! (not you, jake)i. love. you. and am so glad that you are both in my life. that you are both my friends. i won’t even hold it against you that your kid peed all over my sweater! that’s how much i love you guys! seriously though, he is super adorable! i can’t wait to get more. can’t wait ’til he’s old enough to run around with Laken! thank you so much for allowing me to share this stage with you. (((((big hug)))))
i always ask my couples how they “KNEW” they had found the person they wanted to marry.
When Zack knew… he drove overnight for EIGHT hours from college in the middle of intense summer courses to propose to her. this has to be my favorite.response.ever.
i love this couple more than i can form words for. i know you get sick of hearing me say that. but um… they were just SO RAD! they harassed me and really gave me a hard time. but that’s ok. that’s what makes them special! I always say “ok let me have you here… ” and Whitney would say “you me?” and i’d say to Zack, “no… you you!”
I really could just post every single one of their pictures here. cause they’re all my favorites. and i took over 500 images. ugh. how, exactly, did that happen? Whitney attends UT in Austin while Zack goes to A&M in College Station. So you KNOW we had to play that up. But, bad news Whitney, i HAD to post this one of you!and um… this is the part of the session where we got in trouble. We climbed up into this old, abandoned, condemned, burnt down apartment complex. we were on the second floor and thought that either a) we would fall through the floor b) there was a dead body in there or c) both a and b. turns out, it was d) we almost went to jail. that would’ve been fun, no? “Mom… Dad… can you come pick us up at the county jail? we were trespassing and got arrested for committing “arrestable” behavior during our engagement session.”yeah. i know. and they know too!!!
“we don’t want anything traditional” is sweet music to my ears! but just to prove that we did aim to please the masses (aka parental units, grandparents, newspaper people, etc… and my mom too!)here is one!!Zack and Melissa… Tiffany... Amy… errr, Katyor whatever your name is… i am beyond THRILLED to be your wedding photographer! i can’t WAIT until January! you are among my favorites. ME YOU YOU! “you OWN me” Enjoy your slideshow!
